Entry the Sixth

Above this text that I am writing at this moment is the helabores that I have been observing over the past two months. they are now not just green or even budded, but colorful!

Next are the Rhododendrons I have been watching for a while as well, ever since the second entry! In the above picture, my neighbor is depicted riding a scooter down the library hill.
And next to this are some more crocuses that are next to my house.

Entry the Fifth

Above this text that I am writing right now is a picture of some lilacs that are blooming next to my house. later, they will grow yellow leaf-like petals. To the right are the hellebores in my backyard that I showed you last entry, when they did not look remotely like flowers, but now they do! There is another picture of them below this text.

To the right of this text is a picture of a Crocus. these are always the first flowers that I see in the spring, and it always grows in this specific area of my front lawn. Below that picture is a photograph that I took is an Azalea that is growing on my side yard next to a rosebush. It just started blooming. And below that is the current state of the Rhododendrons that I mentioned in the second entry.

Entry the Fourth

To the right, you will see the sun. It is much brighter than it has been in a long time. I have included pictures of the sun during the past few weeks and entries so that anyone who reads this will be able to see the vast increase in sunlight and at certain times the brightness increasing drastically.

Another fresh occurrence during the past few weeks and entries is the the hellebores in my yard, as shown below, are beginning to flower and grow, which they do every spring. hellebores are tough flowers, and usually survive even the harshest winters.

Entry Three

One new occurrence that has occurred these past few days has been that the heat and light has increased considerably. The above picture is one that I took today at about five o'clock. In it, my neighbors are depicted shooting hoops. Even though this is a decision, you cannot play basketball during the winter because it will not bounce.
It will not bounce because the air inside the basketball will contract and when the ball is not full of air, the ball does not bounce anywhere near as well. the ball bounces in the first place because of the reaction. This reaction is less powerful if the momentum is less, and the momentum is less if it has less weight.

Entry Two

One sign of spring that I noticed during the past few weeks was that the Rhododendrons in my back yard were opening up. The leaves bunch up together and huddle together to avoid the cold and snow. The leaves also form a tight canopy. This canopy is hole less and repels water well. This shields the plants roots fro over feeding and over watering, which is essential as the plants strive to survive the long, hard, winter.

Another change that I have observed lately that has occurred in this particular specimen of this plant is that the bulbs that will eventually evolve into flowers have been opening up at a slow but steady pace. Yesterday Boston Red Sox players and pitchers reported for spring training in Fort Worth, Texas. Lately, people all over are getting ready to start spring cleaning as well.

Entry One

One sign of spring I noticed was that the days are slowly but steadily getting shorter. a way to show this is to show these pictures of the sun I took at the library at 4:3o. The sun is still visible in this picture. A month ago the sun would have set about 40 minutes before. The spring and summer have much longer days than the winter.

The thing is, people say that in the spring and summer have shorter days than the winter and fall. This, however, is not technically true. The summer and spring actually have later sunsets and earlier sunrises than the fall and winter.
